This was attributed to the surplus liquidity and stable economic policy that the Gulf states enjoyed at that time.
The real estate sector was the main driver, if not the only one, of that crisis since its emergence through the United States during 2009. Consequently, the movement of supply and demand for existing properties for residential or commercial purposes was affected and began to decline in conjunction with the worsening crisis.

The Saudi economy proved its presence on the international scene and dealt with the data and consequences of the global economic crisis with caution and positivity.
